Triveni Ladies Club (TLC) was approved by the Triveni Executive Committee on January 15, 2005. It will be presented to the General Body of Triveni for ratification in November 2005.
Triveni has
been in existence for, and grown over the past 30 years. What started as a platform
for social and cultural celebratory gatherings for a young immigrant diaspora,
has evolved
over the years to encompass a population crossing generations. This brought
with it the triumphs and tribulations of existence befitting a community displaced
in a foreign land. The ladies of Triveni feel there is a need to get together,
enjoy and support each other with issues that are unique to their way of life
here. Triveni Ladies Club (TLC) is an attempt to initiate a coming-together
of women in the community with the following mission…
Mission Statement: To foster
community support by providing a forum for ladies of Triveni Community to meet
on a regular basis and share experiences and expertise with each other.
Membership: Membership is open and free. Subscribe to TLCvahini@yahoogroups.com to get regular updates on activities.
Meetings: TLC will meet on the second Sunday of every month, 2.00 pm – 4.00 pm in a public meeting area such as the public library. You are welcome to volunteer to share your experiences with the group.
