Picnic/Walkathon update – July 19, 2010

We have received an overwhelmingly favorable response through RSVP for ‘Dosa-on-Site’ at our picnic/walkathon on Saturday, July 31, 2010. Devi Indian Restaurant (Exton, PA 19341) will be catering lunch which includes the following All You Can Eat Menu: idli, vada, dosa (choice of varieties including mysore masala dosa), chutney, sambar, mosaranna, and gulab jamoon. We collect $10 per person ($5 for children ages 6-12) as donation towards lunch. (Actual cost will be more than $15 per head including licensing fee.)

Our Walkathon will focus on bringing awareness to Alzheimer’s disease and Breast Cancer. The following organizations are being considered to be the beneficiaries of our walkathon donation: Alzheimer’s Foundation of America and National Breast Cancer Foundation. All picnic attendees are asked to make a minimum donation of $5 towards walkathon with a request for more generous contributions for this worthy cause.

We thank all those who have sent their RSVPs in response to our previous message. Those of you who are still considering it, please send in your RSVP by July 26, 2010. This will help us give a more precise count to the caterer.

If you are not able to attend the picnic/walkathon, but would like to make a donation to walkathon, please make checks payable to Triveni, Inc. and mail them to Hema Gandiga, 2 Crofton Chase Court, Marlton, NJ 08053 by August 5, 2010. (Write ‘Walkathon-2010’ in the memo section of the check.)
