Dear Triveni Family and Friends,
Triveni EC is pleased to inform you all that Triveni received donations of $391 for Haiti Relief fund. Triveni contributed $210 from its general funds and $100 from Dr. Vasudeva Rao Charitable Trust. A total of $701 has been sent to Red Cross of America designating the contribution for Haiti Disaster Relief. Thanks to those of you who made your generous contributions to this worthy cause.
Preparations are under way for our next program ‘ugadi’ to welcome the new ‘vikrutinama samvatsara’. A variety entertainment program which includes group dance, bhavageethes, youth performances, tributes to Vishnuvardhan, K.S. Aswath, and C. Aswath, and more. If you are interested in giving a performance with your group, please contact Anitha Ananthaswamy (culturalsecretaray@triveniusa.org) immediately. If we still have opening for your request, it will be accepted. If not, it will be considered for our next program.
Ugadi celebration is scheduled on Saturday, April 17, 2010 from 2:30 – 7:30 PM at Pond Road Middle School, 150 Pond Road, Robbinsville, NJ 08691. Please mark your calendars, send your RSVPs from our web site www.triveniusa.org, and attend in large numbers. Please help and support us in running the program on time.
We depend on your help and support for the successful execution of our programs. We need help in several areas like web site design, audio setup/management, registration, stage decoration/setup, equipment transportation, dinner/snacks/supplies management, etc. Please come forward and help us in any way you can. Please contact Rajashekhara (president@triveniusa.org) or Rohini (generalsecretary@triveniusa.org) if you would like to help.
Admission fee for ugadi event is $15 each for adults and $10 each for children 6 -18years. Our expenses for an event are in the neighborhood of $2700. Our collection at the fee charged is around $1500-$1700. We need additional donations to break even. Please help us by contributing additional amounts at the time of registration.
Annual membership is $10 per family and $5 per individual. Please become annual members during registration and show your support to Triveni.
On a different note, AKK WKC-6 is inviting Triveni members to participate in its various activities such as music, dance, drama, souvenir articles etc. Please send in your proposals to the appropriate WKC committees. For information, visit www.akkaonline.org. In your proposals, please identify yourselves as belonging to Triveni.
